Welcome to ATA Leadership Martial Arts
We're celebrating 10 years in the Lakeville community!
We're building tomorrow’s leaders, one Black Belt at a time
Raberge’s ATA Leadership Martial Arts is a taekwondo academy focused on bringing out the best in each and every student. Our academy is a family-based martial arts school with a mission of providing martial arts training to children and adults in a safe, fun, yet challenging environment. The focus of our academy is the development of excellence, self-confidence, leadership, and discipline in every student.
Our instructors are trained using a curriculum developed by the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) which integrates martial arts with life skills. This curriculum provides a smooth transition to each rank for each student. Many students start training without knowing how to perform a simple block, but quickly learn to do complex moves including jump kicks and spins with ease.
Classes are structured to allow families to train together while helping all students to get the most out of each class. As students advance in rank, they move into more challenging classes which helps bring out the best in each student as they work to achieve their goals.
We are the only destination for students of all ages living in Lakeville, Farmington, Apple Valley and Elko New Market who are interested in karate, taekwondo, martial arts, or fitness and who want to improve their lives dramatically.

Testimonials
Our ATA journey started when we met a young lady promoting the ATA school and martial arts classes at a local mall here in Lakeville. My wife was so impressed with the poise and confidence of this 19-year-old student that she wanted to learn more about the martial arts and karate program for our son. We soon discovered this could be a family martial arts activity. Now, four years later, we enjoy our new found friends, self-defense skills, and the positive role models along with the physical activity each class provides. Each of us feels pride for ourselves and our other family members with the goals we have achieved and the confidence we have gained. In a world that tends to sen d families in different directions, we found our family has enjoyed our martial arts training together.

When I first came to Raberge's ATA in June 2004, I was just a mom wanting to start my son in karate in Lakeville. Within in short time I realized how the leadership skills my son Kevin was learning was paying off! He listened more, was focused more and felt more comfortable in front of his class at school. Five years later my daughter Erin and I joined their martial arts program. Now, Kevin is a third-degree black belt, and Erin and I are first-degree black belts. We train together, do tournaments together, and are on the Demo Team together. It is great that there is something that we can all do together regardless of age, gender, or ability. The best in martial arts hands down from Lakeville to Farmington.

Taekwondo, or "karate" to some, has many therapeutic benefits for my special-needs child. He is physically stronger and more coordinated and has increased discipline to follow through on requests made of him at home and school. As an occupational therapist, I highly recommend taekwondo and martial arts as an extra curricular activity to the families of special needs children in Lakeville due to the positive results I have seen in my child.
